PwC in the Channel Islands has made a number of senior promotions - with Mike Byrne becoming Partner, and Chris Van Den Berg and Alex Burne becoming Directors.
Mike, who is based in Jersey, has been with the firm for over 15 years and leads the Asset Management team for PwC in the Channel Islands, with a personal focus on private equity and hedge funds. During his time with PwC he has gained has considerable experience of working in Europe and Asia.
Also based in Jersey, Chris joined PwC in 2008 after relocating from South Africa. He has built up a wealth of experience in all aspects of the firm’s services, with a particular focus on the advisory and fiduciary areas of the business. Chris has experience in providing solutions to clients with AML issues and regularly leads projects centred on helping global clients navigate complex regulatory matters, as well as conducting KYC country reviews on their behalf.
Based in Guernsey, Alex has almost 15 years’ experience of financial service assurance projects, predominantly within the asset management sector, having qualified with PwC in 2002. In 2010, Alex relocated to PwC Sydney for three years, where he gained valuable global client leadership in Banking & Capital Markets, Real Estate and Alternative Asset Management. He now principally specialises in listed funds and private equity.
