Offshore banking lawyer Simon Felton has joined Ogier's banking and finance team as a Partner.
Simon joins from Mourant Ozannes, where he has held Managing Partner roles in New York and London since 2007.
He specialises in leading international teams working on complex structured finance transactions. He also advises investment banks on a range of capital markets, structured finance and securitisation transactions.
Before joining Ogier, Simon has helped a financial institution establish a platform to consolidate its issuance of structured products outside the US; assisted a special-purpose vehicle participating in a programme for repackaging securitisation residuals; and advised a Jersey receivables trustee on the disposal of a portfolio of mortgage receivables.
Simon has also advised in relation to substantial private M&A activity for institutional and private equity clients.
