Moore Stephens Financial Management Limited (MSFM) has acquired Jersey-based investment consultancy firm Evolution Consulting Limited to provide their clients with a wider range of services. Evolution was launched in 2009 to provide investment portfolio monitoring, manager selection services and financial risk management consultancy. Director Neil Battrick and investment analyst Max de Carteret are both joining MSFM as part of the acquisition. Mr Battrick is a member of the CISI and CFA UK and holds the Investment Management Certificate. He is an experienced finance professional having worked for Barclays, Ashburton and Equity Trust. Mr De Carteret is a graduate of Highlands College having completed the Financial Services Degree while working for the TMF Group. Michael Norem, a director of Moore Stephens Financial Management, said: “This acquisition clearly demonstrates our strategy to diversify our offering, providing our clients with valuable services from a single, trusted provider. This will considerably enhance our capabilities in investment monitoring and manager selection; services that will be very useful to many of our existing clients. Neil and Max bring an excellent range of skills and experience with them to MSFM and, working with them, we hope to take the business to the next level.” Neil Battrick, now head of portfolio consulting at MSFM, said: “Having launched the company in 2009, this move will enable us to access a much wider marketplace and work with many more clients than we were able to previously.
