“Starting your own business” will be the focus of the next networking event hosted by Moore Stephens and Close Finance.
This event is the third in the Moore Stephens and Close Finance Breakfast Briefing series and will feature a panel debate on the struggles and rewards of starting a business in Jersey and the level of support there is available to small to medium enterprises on the island.
The event will be held at the Radisson Blu Hotel on 10 June and will run in conjunction with Jersey Business’ Enterprise Week.
The panel will feature Shaun Rankin, Michelin Star chef from restaurant, Ormer; Andy Cook, Chief Executive of Jersey Business; Kristina Le Feuvre, Owner of aMaizin’ Adventure Park and Vice President of the Jersey Chamber of Commerce; John Garton, Chief Executive Officer of Genuine Jersey Products Association and Chris Clark, owner of Prosperity 24.7.
All of the panellists will be quizzed on their experiences in starting up new businesses as well as their impressions of the entrepreneurship culture in the island and the support available to new businesses.
Carl Methven, co-founder of businesslife.co magazine, will act as mediator for the event.

The event begins with networking and breakfast from 7.30am with the panel debate beginning from 8.15am. All guests will be encouraged to participate in the debate and can ask panel members questions in regards to their concerns and thoughts on starting a business in Jersey.
Tickets cost £15 including breakfast and 20% of all ticket sales will be donated to The Prince’s Trust programmes in Jersey.
