Saffery Champness Registered Fiduciaries has appointed Matthew Gilligan as an Associate Director within the firm’s Guernsey office.
Matthew will work with the fiduciary team to provide offshore solutions for ultra-high-net-worth individuals in key jurisdictions. He will also focus on business development opportunities for the fiduciaries business.
Matthew has more than 15 years of experience in the finance sector. He joins Saffery Champness from Louvre Group, where he managed complex and multi-jurisdictional family structures. Earlier in his career, he held administration roles with Butterfield Trust and Investec in Guernsey.
His work has involved advising on and managing high-end assets on behalf of clients around the globe, including Europe, North America and Asia. He has also worked extensively on high-end residential and commercial property transactions in the UK.
Matthew is a Committee Member for the Guernsey branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and serves as its Student Liaison Officer.
In addition to this appointment, Donna Brehaut has been promoted to Associate Director this month, having served as Trust Manager since she joined Saffery Champness in October 2018. Prior to this, Donna spent 11 years with Nerine Fiduciaries.
