Louvre Trust (Guernsey) has promoted Leon Smith and Ed Riley within its compliance team. Leon (pictured right) takes a position on the board as Fiduciary Risk & Compliance Director, while Ed becomes Money Laundering Compliance Officer.
Leon, who joined Louvre in 2017, has over 35 years of experience in the finance industry. A fellow of the International Compliance Association, he started his career in banking before moving into compliance 15 years ago. He has extensive experience working for large and medium fiduciary firms in a compliance role.
In his new role, Leon will lead the compliance team and manage risk for the regulated Guernsey trust business.
Ed, an experienced trust professional, has worked in the offshore wealth management sector since 2006, and with Louvre for nearly 11. With more than 10 years’ experience in client-facing roles, Ed moved into compliance in 2016.
