Jo Stoddart, CEO and founder of Quintessential Relocation Consultants (QRC), is to lead Locate Guernsey for the next three years. She takes over from Andrew Carey, who has become a Practice Manager at Island Health Group.
Jo (pictured right) moved to Guernsey in 2005, having previously relocated to Jersey from London in 2001, and has managed QRC since founding it in 2010. She expanded the business's operations to Jersey in 2013.
Jo has also chaired the Association of Relocation Professionals since June 2017.
The promotional agency, which was launched in 2016 as a three-year pilot, secured three more years of funding in July. It plans to further develop its role and remit, and will have a more focused role to support diversification of the economy and to promote the open market.
Jo commented: "The Committee for Economic Development has backed Locate Guernsey by investing in its future, and I look forward to working with colleagues on and off-island to promote Guernsey as a premier league jurisdiction for high-net-worth individuals and scale-up businesses."
She will be joined at Locate Guernsey by Paul Kilminster, who has had a long career in Guernsey's banking sector and was most recently an Executive Officer in the State of Guernsey's Population Management Office.
Jo will retain an arm's length financial interest in QRC, but following her appointment at Locate Guernsey, Julie Todd (pictured left) has joined QRC as Business Manager.
Julie relocated to Guernsey from the UK in 2000. Since then, she has founded and organised the annual Jersey and Guernsey Customer Service Awards, co-founded the Guernsey Property & Construction Awards and has an established media background.
She is also currently a Director of Business Eye CI and Collaborate Communications, and will remain so during her time with QRC.
