The IoD in Guernsey has announced details of the next event in its winter seminar series, which will take place on 5 April at the Old Government House Hotel in St Peter Port.
Entitled 'Leading from the Front? Innovation in Guernsey’s Financial Services', a panel of specialists will discuss recent innovations in financial services, what professionals should be aware of, and where Guernsey can get ahead to ensure that its financial services sector is fit for the future.
Fiona Le Poidevin (pictured), CEO and Director of The International Stock Exchange Group and an IoD committee member, will moderate the panel of speakers, which includes:
• Mark Elliott, Director of Insurance Linked Securities at Aon – Guernsey’s innovative approach to insurance-linked securities and how it can more closely rival Bermuda as the world leader
• Nick Vermeulen, Partner at PwC specialising in financial services – why Guernsey is well placed as an attractive location for the fintech sector and how it has the potential to transform our local financial services and technology industries on the island
• Andy Sloan, Deputy Chief Executive, Strategy at Guernsey Finance and Chair of Guernsey Green Finance
