Susie Crowder_IoDThe IoD in Guernsey is to hold a breakfast meeting on 15 March that will discuss the importance of human capital to the island’s economy.

The speaker is Susie Crowder (pictured), who is Director of Bright Futures, a charitable institution that aims to change the way people think about lifetime education.

She will talk about the charity’s work to raise awareness of the changing human capital needs of the workplace and will ask the two questions:
• How confident are you that your current skill set will last until the end of your working life?
• How confident do you feel advising your colleagues on what and how they should be studying to facilitate a long and fulfilling career?

As well as her work with Bright Futures, Susie is also the Non-Executive Chairman of Nexus Technology. She has a range of experience in management consultancy and has held several NED roles in the islands, including for UBS and C5 Alliance. Susie also ran her own training company, CISA, for a number of years.
