HSBC Bank has made two appointments to its corporate banking and retail banking divisions in Guernsey. Sally Spencer becomes Head of Corporate Banking, while Mhairi Thomsett has been made Head of Retail Banking.
In her new role, Sally will focus on supporting local businesses and ensuring good customer service. She has worked with the bank for three decades across global banking, the retail branch network and corporate banking.
She moves to Guernsey from the UK, where she was Head of Corporate, West London.
Also moving to Guernsey to take up her new position, Mhairi assumes responsibility for the bank’s retail banking business and branch network across Guernsey, Sark and Alderney.
Before moving to the Channel Islands, Mhairi spent 16 years in the UK working within HSBC’s retail banking and wealth management business in a variety of roles, most recently as Senior Retail Branch Manager in Cambridge.
