EY has announced a number of senior promotions across the Channel Islands.
In Guernsey, Wynand Pretorius has been promoted to Director, Assurance, while James Brown has become a Senior Manager and Adam Knight has become a Manager.
Meanwhile, in Jersey, Leo Boessenkool, Mark Halliwell and Sharma Mokram have all been promoted to Senior Managers.
Wynand, who joined EY in 2014, specialises in private equity structures and real estate funds. Having trained in the US, he has also gained experience working for BDO in South Africa.
James, Mark and Sharma joined the firm as trainees in 2002, 2005 and 2009, respectively.
Based in Guernsey, James has experience working with a wide range of structures in onshore and offshore jurisdictions, also completing secondments with EY in London and Luxembourg. Adam, meanwhile, has been promoted from Assistant Manager in EY’s Southampton office.
On the Jersey side, Leo joined EY in the Channel Islands in 2014. He focuses on IT audit support and data analytics and currently manages EY’s IT risk assurance work in the islands.
Mark focuses on investment management, capital markets and the fiduciary sector and has in the past worked under secondment with EY’s Investment Management Group in Hong Kong.
Finally, Sharma has spent nine years as an Audit Manager with EY, having previously worked for BDO.
