Equiom to host tax seminars across Channel Islands

Posted: 19/01/2017

Equiom Solutions, part of the international Equiom Group, will be hosting its annual seminars to discuss key issues concerning tax and estate planning for Channel Islands residents.

There will be two seminars, held on 1 February at the Royal Yacht Hotel in Jersey and 2 February at The Old Government House in Guernsey.

The events will feature presentations, starting with Glenn Cassidy, Senior Tax Consultant, who will give a property update and discuss the changes regarding tax and domicile due to be introduced in April 2017.

Helen Woods, Managing Director of Equiom Solutions, will cover trusts and UK property followed by returning non-doms, which will be particularly relevant to people living in the Channel Islands but originally from the UK.

She explained the idea behind the seminar: “The recent Autumn Statement announcement has highlighted key tax changes for UK non-doms and 2017 will be a crucial year for implementation of some of the new tax regimes that affect Channel Island residents.

"Our aim is to highlight these issues to clients and contacts so that they have the knowledge to be prepared and seek advice with respect to these changes.”

Equiom Solutions provides tax and estate planning services to Channel Islands residents and businesses. The team offers tax mitigation and estate planning advice as well as outsourced tax compliance services for fiduciaries.
