A boutique legal practice, Edward Scott and Co, has been launched in Jersey to advise on corporate and finance matters.
Principal Edward Scott (pictured) commented: “We work on complex transactions, most often across from top-ranking Jersey firms, but we work in small teams of lawyers and this enables us to identify issues early and to draft accurately and efficiently.
"Our teams fit neatly into the wider advisory team and cover both the corporate and finance aspects of a transaction, with all the efficiencies that brings.”
He said his practice has begun adapting to changing client demands as a result of Covid-19.
“Coronavirus has changed the way the financial services industry uses technology, such as the way documents are signed and how we communicate. Many clients would now prefer to talk to a practitioner who is happy to use the available technology to make sure projects are completed efficiently.”
Kirsten Faichnie joins the practice as a Consultant. Kirsten, formerly a Senior Associate at Mourant, will help clients with their corporate and finance matters, and with the funds regulatory side of structuring investments.
