CIISF to hold cyber threats seminar

Posted: 15/07/2019

The Channel Islands Information Security Forum (CIISF) is holding its June Jersey lunchtime seminar – Responding to cyber threats: It's as easy as BBA! – on Wednesday 17 July, at the St Paul's Centre, Saint Helier, from 12.45pm to 2pm.

The CIISF will explore how most organisations are not prepared to deal with and/or respond to cyber threats of any kind and how they reverse the status quo.

Using the mantra 'a journey of 1,000 miles starts beneath one's feet', the event will look at ways organisations can develop a security journey and assess their current position. It will demonstrate how to incorporate threat intelligence and use defensive tactics.

The guest speaker is Paul Dutot, Chief Technology Officer at Defence Logic, who is an experienced chief technology officer providing security solutions to global clients.

Paul is also a founder member, and current committee member, of the CIISF and current chairman of the British Computer Society Jersey branch.
