Board Apprentice launches in Jersey

Posted: 29/04/2016

Board Apprentice, the organisation founded in 2014 to increase the number and diversity of candidates for board positions, is to launch in Jersey.

The launch event will be held at the Royal Yacht Hotel, St Helier, at 5pm on Wednesday 4 May. It is a chance for future candidates, senior executives and existing boards to hear mentors’ and apprentices’ experiences of being involved in Board Apprentice.

Board Apprentice Founder Charlotte Valeur says: "Boards globally need to be able to see with many different eyes. Companies cannot afford not to see all opportunities and risks in a rapidly evolving world. Diversity of ethnicity, age, gender, skills and background is key for companies to thrive.

"Board Apprentice is one of the answers. A large and growing group of progressive governments, boards, companies and associations are using the Board Apprentice concept to make diversity happen. We would like to see Jersey join the group."
