Bedell Cristin has appointed three new Partners in its Jersey office through the promotions of Richard Le Liard and Jeff O’Boyle and the appointment of Advocate Sara Johns.
Sara joins Bedell Cristin's financial services law team after more than 16 years with Ogier. She is a corporate lawyer who specialises in mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, joint ventures and corporate restructuring.
As one of Jersey’s leading competition lawyers, she has advised on a number of merger control applications to the Channel Islands Competition and Regulatory Authorities.
Richard, who has been with Bedell Cristin for almost 12 years, is also part of the financial services law team. He specialises in funds and investment structures and is experienced in advising promoters on fund formation, promotion and licensing requirements.
Richard also specialises in financial services regulation and has advised international financial services businesses on matters such as data protection, anti-money laundering and economic substance.
Finally, Jeff, who joined Bedell Cristin two years ago, has most recently served as Head of Property in the firm's global property team.
Qualified as an English solicitor, he has considerable commercial property experience, having acted for many multinational clients, including investors, developers, lenders and private clients on a wide range of complex and high-value instructions.
