BDO in Jersey and its recently acquired technology business C5 Alliance have purchased ALX Training.
According to C5, the acquisition will add to its IT client services portfolio, with ALX's training expertise covering technology-focused workplace skills including software and application learning. ALX will provide training solutions to support the new technologies C5 has implemented for clients.
The purchase follows the acquisition of C5 by BDO in Jersey earlier this year, with the unified firm providing strategy, consulting, digital, technology and managed services.
St Helier-based ALX Training employs six staff and was founded in 2009 by Alex Morel, until now the firm's Managing Director. To date, it has delivered training across the Channel Islands, Gibraltar, Isle of Man, Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands, South Africa, Mauritius, Netherlands, Luxembourg and UK.
Post-acquisition, Alex will be Director of ALX Training. C5 said it had no plans to rebrand the firm, but that it would be working with Alex to increase the team size and client offering.
