Apex completes Ipes acquisition

Posted: 06/02/2019

Apex Group has completed the acquisition of private equity administrator Ipes, first announced last June, adding $165bn in assets under administration to the group’s portfolio.

According to Apex, the addition of the Ipes business strengthens its services in the private equity space and its position as a global private equity fund administrator.

The close of the Ipes acquisition follows a succession of announcements from Apex, including last week’s confirmation of its acquisition of MM Warburg & Co asset management and servicing business in Luxembourg and the recent announcement of Apex’s custody offering via a partnership with Citi.

The group has also expanded its capabilities into the financial services market through the addition of the corporate and private client services and Throgmorton businesses of Link Group’s Asset Services division.
