The Organisation:
Our client, an independent professional services firm, is looking for an Associate Director, Fund Accounting and Administration, to join their highly respected team.

The Role:
Responsibilities include:
Assist in the development of a market-leading funds proposition enabling immediate recognition and attractiveness amongst target clients.
In line with business growth, assist with building and leading a client administration teavresponsible for all aspects of administration, accounting and investor reporting on a complex range of private capital structures, through highly motivational leadership, retain high quality staff and ensure teams’ workloads are completed accurately, effectively and efficiently.
Optimise use of the technology platform, including detailed input into capability in support of prices efficiency, quality output and proposition extension. Working with senior management to implement cutting edge fund technology platforms.
Act as the senior point of contact for clients allocated, ensuring development of long term client relationship built on market-leading service quality and value-add innovation.
Support the fund accounting function and ensure the fund administration teams and funds accounting function work closely together.
Resourcing, training and knowledge share across the wider business.
Provide proactive query management and resolution for items raised by colleagues, clients, their advisors and auditors.

The Person:
You will possess the following key characteristics:
10 years’ relevant industry experience and must have demonstrable experience of working in a funds environment at senior manager level and above.
Fund audit and accounting background, at manager level or higher.
Proven enhanced technical expertise in real estate and private equity.
Wide ranging experience and skills in understanding and application of accounting and bookkeeping principles, interpretation of financial statements for funds and up to date and strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
Excellent communication and influencing skills and experience of working with a group environment, managing key and high-level stakeholders internally and externally.
Track record demonstrating ability to progress range of issues and projects simultaneously including audit, business planning, team management, compliance and related matters.
Up to date knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements.
Deadline oriented; proven ability to work collaboratively and flexibly with strong interpersonal skills.
Alignment to a culture of excellence and continuous improvement through coaching, motivation and leadership.
Management experience of recruiting, retaining and motivating team members.
Business development experience, including pitching to prospective clients.
Advanced French and/or German would be advantageous.
Professionally qualified accountant, preferably big four accountancy firm.
