Our client is an independent award winning alternative investment, corporate and private client administrator, recognised for it's commercial expertise and dynamic culture that supports investment success for clients. Following a private-equity backed
management buy-out in 2016, the business has gone through a period of significant investment and organic and acqusitional growth and now stands at 700+ staff across 14 jurisdictions.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Working as a member of the global Human Resources team, the purpose of this role will be to provide generalist HR support,
guidance and advice to staff at all levels (with support from HR Leadership where required) to ensure that the business follows a best practice approach to people management and is compliant with all relevant legislation.
With this in mind, the ideal candidate will probably have enjoyed a hands-on HR career within the Financial Services or Professional
Services industry, having made their way up the ranks through HR Adminstration and Adviser/Officer roles.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

– Be the first port of call for staff and line managers across offices in Jersey, London and Dublin who require assistance from HR
– Provide advice and guidance to managers on HR policies and procedures (with support from HR Leadership where required)
– Act in a line management capacity for other HR Officers and/or Administrators in the team
– Oversee the successful processing of monthly payroll and benefits administration in Jersey, London and Dublin
– Supports the embedding of business strategy through providing guidance and input on workforce planning, business unit
restructures, and succession planning, ensuring that HR processes are applied appropriately and in a legally compliant manner
– Provide performance management guidance to line managers and employees through coaching, counselling, and disciplinary/remedial actions where required, thus managing and resolving complex employee relations issues
– Build and maintain healthy relationships across the business through regular meetings with the various departments, and developing trusted relationships with the key departmental leaders
– Support the Resourcing Manager and HR Leaders in the recruitment process for roles up to Client Director level
– Assist the team with general onboarding and new starter logistics as required
– Take responsibility for leading and/or supporting a range of general HR projects, to include reacting to legislative changes, employee engagement initiatives, retention activities and any other projects depending on the strategy of the HR function
– Analysis of HR data (trends and metrics) to develop and enhance solutions, processes, and programs that address current
problems and also to avoid future ones, for example active management of sickness and turnover

QUALIFICATIONS

– Relevant HR/Training qualification(s) - ideally CIPD level 7
– Educated to a minimum of A level standard

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

– HR experience gained in a fiduciary environment, ideally in a business operating in multiple jurisdictions
– Extensive experience of running all elements of recruitment processes with excellent interviewing skills
– Confident working with technology for recruitment and training purposes
– Good IT skills including Excel
– Strong generalist HR skills to include a broad knowledge of Jersey Employment Law
– Good planning and time management skills to enable effective prioritisation of multiple activities
– Strong administrative and organisational skills
– Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with colleagues at all levels to deliver
business outcomes
