The Normans Customer Service Awards – Jersey corporate categories now open

The Normans Customer Service Awards – Jersey corporate categories now openJersey companies are invited to enter submissions for the corporate categories in this year's Normans Customer Service Awards (Jersey). This year the event enjoys the generous support of Normans, the on-going endorsement from the Jersey Chamber of Commerce, plus the individual category sponsors.

Whilst the awards focus very much on individuals at the ‘sharp end' of service delivery – nominated by the public at large, the four corporate categories were introduced to provide businesses with a platform to showcase their own customer service successes.

Now in their second year, the corporate categories attracted submissions from a wide range of diverse business sectors in 2012. Last year's winners came from the retail, service and care sectors illustrating the importance of customer service across all industries. Jersey Airport enjoyed double success with the other two categories going to Les Houmets Care Home and The Co-operative

Organisations can enter as many categories as they wish and are asked to provide evidence of improvements in business performance they have enjoyed as a direct result of an innovative approach or a revised strategy for customer service delivery.

James Filleul, President of The Jersey Chamber of Commerce (pictured) commented:

‘We had some great entries last year from companies of all sizes and types. It's a tough environment for any business at the moment; putting customer service at the heart of everything a company does can be the difference between success and failure. Lots of local businesses do just that. So if you are one of them please take this opportunity to tell us about it.'

The awards were established to celebrate individuals' customer service successes. However their achievements are often supported by a service culture and ethos from within the organisation for which they work. The corporate categories are designed to encourage companies to become even more service-driven and to highlight how this can deliver real competitive advantage.

Categories are:

Customer Service Innovation of the Year

Customer Service Strategy of the Year

Customer Commitment Award

Best Use of Social Media

Submission forms and guidance notes can be found on the Customer Service Awards website www.thecustomerserviceawards.com

Closing date for entries is 27 September 2013.
