Sure to open bespoke new store

Sure will open a new flagship shop within the Guernsey Post Office headquarters premises at La Vrangue next month.

Sure has always had a retail presence out of town to provide a convenient retail experience with ample parking. Next month, the current shop at Centenary House will move to new premises within the atrium of the Post Office building.

The new shop has been designed to showcase the whole range of Sure's products and services – mobile, broadband, TV and landline. All the latest handsets will be on display with interactive screens that help customers decide what phone to buy and on what price plan. There will also be video screens that platform the company's latest offers and the best deals.

‘This new look and feel shop is a big change for us – we have listened to what customers want and need when shopping for telecommunications products and then delivered that and more,' said Eddie Saints, chief executive of Sure.

‘We think islanders will really like the new layout store and in working with the Guernsey Post Office, we have been able to add the convenience of plenty of parking and easy access.

‘Sure and the Guernsey Post Office are two of the island's biggest retailers; both companies have a rich history on our island so being in the same location makes perfect sense.'

Mr Saints added that the Centenary House outlet will remain open until the new shop in the Post Office is ready, so there will be no disruption to customers.

‘It's important to us that Sure is accessible to all customers; this move to Envoy House Post Office will underpin that. The new store, together with our High Street shop and our on-island customer call centre, will provide customers all the support they need.'

The old shop at Centenary House will be closing at 12pm on Friday 13th September to facilitate the move and the new shop will be opening to the public on Saturday 14th September.
