Sigma and Cactus team up on cyber security

Posted: 19/03/2018

Local IT specialists Sigma and Cactus have joined forces to offer a new approach to cyber security.

Their White Cloud Trust Lockdown solution, based in the Channel Islands and available globally, provides access to patented cyber security software to businesses of all sizes.

Mark Trenchard, Director of Cactus, said: “Traditional security software works by checking in-bound traffic to your system against a list of known threats. This reactive model simply cannot keep up. Trust Lockdown uses the concept of prevention to keep out threats to your system.”

According to the organisation, cyber-crime currently generates more than $450bn per annum. There have been more attacks and new pieces of malware produced in the first quarter of last year than the whole of 2016 – approximately four million an hour.

Cactus is the executive agent for sales of Trust Lockdown, while Sigma is the Channel Island and UK sales partner of Cactus.

Over the coming months, they will roll out a series of workshops and presentations to help inform and educate the Jersey and Guernsey business communities on the new approach.
