Aon Insurance Managers (Guernsey) has appointed Glyn Smith as Executive Director, responsible for its two managed rated reinsurance companies, Humboldt Re and Kelvin Re.
Glyn joined the insurance industry in Guernsey in 1977 and has a wealth of experience in the general insurance and captive (re)insurance management markets.
He started his career with Commercial Union and went on to work in the captive sector with HSBC and Heath Lambert.
Glyn has also spent two long periods working for RSA’s Insurance Corporation, latterly as Managing Director, leading the business for six years until 2015.
