Santander International has appointed Richard Settle as its new Chief Risk Officer.
Richard, who joins Santander International from Euroclear UK and Ireland, will have responsibility for operational and credit risk, compliance and financial crime compliance for the Jersey and Isle of Man branches. He has relocated from London to Jersey to take up the new role.
With over 25 years’ experience in credit and operational risk, Richard has led regulatory teams for global financial institutions and held senior risk roles with Deutsche Bank, Citi, UBS and Credit Suisse.
As well as overseeing compliance for the bank and acting as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer, Richard will serve as an Executive Director on the Santander Financial Services board and be a member of its Executive Committee.
