Energy, oil and heating services Rubis has appointed Philippe Goron as the new Managing Director for its Channel Island operations, taking over from Nicolas de Breyne, who has been in charge since 2014.
Philippe has 35 years' experience of leading major projects and businesses within the civil engineering and fuel industries, including 15 years (1983-1998) in construction and 19 years (1998-2017) in the energy sector.
In addition to his experience as an international manager in varying environments (economic, social and cultural), Philippe has become a specialist in mergers and acquisitions.
His career in the energy sector has been spent with international companies such as Elf and Total, spanning Europe, Africa and India – most recently as lead engineer for the Project Methods Expertise at Total, assisting in management and project techniques for marketing and services subsidiaries around the world.
