Guernsey-based airline Waves has appointed Gus Paterson as its new Chief Executive Officer for the aviation division of the business.
Gus has more than 18 years of operational and management experience in the aviation industry. Most recently, he was Director of Civil Aviation for the Channel Islands, responsible for all aspects of aviation safety and security regulation, including airports, airlines and air traffic control.
Prior to that he worked in a variety of roles at UK air traffic services provider NATS. He is a qualified air traffic controller and a fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
For the past few months, Gus has been at the helm of the Office of the Committee for Education, Sport and Culture in Guernsey, during which he has overseen some major changes in the management and structure of the department.
