Mercator appoint Jeremy Mahoney to senior management team

Jeremy Mahoney has been promoted to associate director at Mercator Trust.

After three years as a senior manager for the firm Mr Mahoney (pictured) has been appointed to his new role as associate director primarily responsible for Mercator's Managed Trust operation.

Originally from London, Mr Mahoney moved to the island in 1984 before qualifying as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1992 whilst working as a financial controller for Investec Asset Management (Guernsey) Limited.

He joined Mercator in 2002 initially as the group financial controller before assuming responsibility for Mercator Fund Services Limited. Mr Mahoney then moved on to act as senior manager for the Managed Trust department.

In 1997 he became a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

David Preston, managing director of Mercator said: “It's great to be able to recognise Jeremy's hard work and contribution to the firm as well as his extensive understanding and experience of managing a very important part of our business.

“Jeremy's promotion will enable us to enhance the high standard of service we provide our clients.”
