Marc Lainé to head up C5 Alliance Group in Guernsey

Channel Islands IT consultancy, the C5 Alliance Group, has appointed Marc Lainé as managing director to oversee the development of the Group in Guernsey following its acquisition of Itex earlier this year. Formerly the Guernsey island manager for C5 Alliance, Mr Lainé will also sit on the board of directors with chief executive officer, Mark Loane and chief operating officer Rob Leader.

Mr Lainé will continue to oversee strategic business development for the Guernsey office, while heading up all of the group's activities in the island including professional services, managed services, data hosting and recovery.

Mr Lainé is a well-known local businessman and former politician, with a long history of working in the telecommunications and technology sectors. From 1994 to 2002 he owned and managed ATLAS Telecom before selling the business to Jersey Telecom. He joined C5 Alliance in 2010 after various in-house and consultancy positions. He is also the current chairman of Guernsey Chamber of Commerce's ICT Subgroup.
