Artificial intelligence commentator Nick Bostrom (pictured) – whose book Superintelligence has been praised by Stephen Hawking, Elon Musk and Bill Gates – is a confirmed speaker at both of Jersey Finance's conferences to be held in London this month.
The conferences – at 8 Northumberland Avenue, near Trafalgar Square, on 24 and 25 April – will focus on the funds sector set against a backdrop of geopolitical change, and the impact of AI and technology on private wealth.
• Tuesday 24 April: A Future Focus, annual funds conference Expert speakers will examine what changes in the geopolitical landscape will mean for Jersey’s funds industry in relation to Britain and the EU, both now and in the post-Brexit future. Invest Europe CEO Michael Collins and CVC Capital Partners' Marc St John will be speaking.
• Wednesday 25 April: An Open World How developments in AI and other technologies are affecting family office structures. The event will feature insights from former MI5 head Jonathan Evans into the rising threat of digital infiltration. Other speakers will examine how family office structures are adapting to meet the needs of Generation X and Y, and a panel will look at trends in investor behaviours and wealth distribution.
