StephaniePeat_SoJThe Institute of Directors will turn the spotlight on Jersey's capability to respond to cyber threats, its cyber security strategy and the potential to establish a Channel Island cyber response team, at its next Lunch Club on 6 November.

Stephanie Peat (pictured), Director of Digital & Telecoms Policy at the States of Jersey, will be the guest speaker. A former Strategy Manager for Ofcom and Head of Strategy for Freesat, Stephanie took up her States of Jersey role in 2013.

She has set the island's digital vision and, in October 2017, delivered its first island-wide cyber security strategy. A year on from the strategy's launch, she will speak about its progress so far and future goals.

Stephanie commented: “We envisage a cyber-resilient island where all islanders are informed about cyber security risks, and the essential services for maintaining life and a modern economy are as secure as possible. The cyber security vision for 2020 is to make Jersey a safer place to live and do business."

• The event will be held at the Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa from midday. Places, available for members and non-members, can be booked via Eventbrite by clicking here
