Investment Week has named Guernsey as the Best Centre for Fund Administration at its Fund Services Awards 2017.
The results were announced in a ceremony in London this week, where the island saw off competition from Jersey, Luxembourg and Dublin.
Guernsey’s entry cited examples of innovation or leadership in the implementation of new financial agreements and technology over the past 12 months.
It pointed to its private equity funds passing the £100bn mark at the end of 2016, the growth in net asset value of Guernsey-domiciled funds, and the first commercial deployment of Blockchain technology.
Its entry also highlighted the two new funds products brought to the market – the Private Investment Fund and the Manager Led Product.
Augentius, which has a Guernsey office, was also named Best Fund Administration Team at the awards.
