Guernsey Electricity has appointed Rob Winter as Head of Risk and Compliance.
Working for the company since 2016, Rob takes on this new role as head of department, to reduce risks, drive opportunities and deliver a continuous cycle of improvement across the business.
Rob’s primary responsibility is to ensure that all risks and opportunities affecting the business are identified and managed effectively. He leads a team of highly experienced Health and Safety, environmental and emergency response professionals. He also oversees the company’s audit and compliance systems to ensure they enhance performance and deliver a programme of continual improvement.
A qualified lawyer, Rob has a wealth of experience in risk and compliance. On his new role, he commented: "I moved to Guernsey Electricity in 2016 because I wanted to work for a company which plays a fundamental role to the local community. I am excited to be leading a team of exceptional professionals and optimising our new risk and compliance systems to deliver safe, secure, sustainable and reliable electricity for the island.’
