Grant Thornton announces senior promotions

MelindaSunley_GrantThornton_oct19Grant Thornton Channel Islands has promoted three members of staff into senior positions. 

Melinda Sunley (pictured) becomes the new Head of People and Culture, having worked in managerial roles within the firm since 2015. 

Melinda has spent more than 15 years in the financial services and professional services sectors, including periods with SG Hambros and EFG Offshore earlier in her career. In her new position, she will focus on strategic recruitment, training and personal development for the 140 employees at Grant Thornton.

Meanwhile, Donna Wagstaff takes up the role of Senior Manager Business Advisory in the Jersey office, while Liz Hawke becomes Senior Tax Manager in Guernsey.
   
Donna brings to the new role 35 years’ experience in accounts, tax and company secretarial services. She has been with Grant Thornton for almost six years, following manager roles at Mazars and MRI Moore Rowland. 
 
And Liz, who has worked for Grant Thornton for more than a decade, has specialist knowledge of Guernsey and UK personal and company tax matters. She works with a range of clients, including large corporate groups, trust companies, local businesses and high-net-worth individuals.
