Grand Jersey appoints Director of Sales

The five-star Grand Jersey has appointed John King (pictured) as Director of Sales.

Mr King joins the sales team at the luxury hotel from the highly regarded No.11 Cadogan Gardens, in London's West End, where he was part of the hotel's pre-opening team and managed a number of successful sales and marketing campaigns. Before joining No.11 Cadogan Gardens in March 2012, he held various sales and managerial positions at five-star establishments, including Red Carnation Hotels in London and Old Government House in Guernsey.

To complement Mr King's extensive sales and marketing experience, he holds a HND in Tourism and Hospitality Management and holds Ambassadors in Management Level's 1, 2 and 3 (Chartered Institute of Management).

Eamonn Elliot, General Manager at Grand Jersey, said: ‘We're really pleased to welcome John to our team. He has an impressive set of skills in sales, marketing and business management, with a wealth of experience gained at some of the UK's premier hospitality businesses.'

Mr King's role at Grand Jersey will focus on increasing sales of Grand Jersey's products and services in line with company objectives. This will involve the effective execution of business targets and sales activities, while maintaining high levels of customer service and quality results.

Mr King, said: ‘I'm delighted to be appointed as Director of Sales at Grand Jersey. This hotel has a fine tradition of excellence and I hope that my passion and drive will contribute to its future success.'

Educated in Scotland, Mr King has a keen interest in the outdoors. He enjoys an active lifestyle of walking, sailing, football and badminton. He also takes pleasure in the cultural pursuits of travelling, theatre and dining out with friends and family.
