Digital Jersey to hold GDPR marketing event

Digital Jersey is holding a GDPR seminar – Practical Steps for Digital Marketing – which will explain how the GDPR and the new local legislation will affect small digital businesses from a marketing perspective. 

The event aims to provide practical steps for businesses to begin working towards compliance, and provide an opportunity to ask questions on data protection and digital marketing.

Agenda

Meet the Regulator Paul Vane, Deputy Information Commissioner, will open the session with an introduction to the new law and what it means for digital marketing.

Practical implementation Local Advocate Davida Blackmore, from Callington Chambers, will talk through practical steps towards compliance for businesses using digital marketing, including:
• Bringing data up to standard, so it can continue to be used after May 2018
• Best practice for capturing and managing data to ensure ongoing compliance
• Things to consider when collecting and processing data using analytics, automation and profiling tools
