Digital Jersey has restored its board to full strength with the appointment of three Non-Executive Directors – Wendy Hall, Rob Kirkby and Tom Hacquoil.
Dame Wendy (pictured right) is Regius Professor of Computer Science at the University of Southampton. She co-chaired the UK government’s Artificial Intelligence Review and was named by the UK government as the first Skills Champion for AI in the UK.
At Digital Jersey’s Annual Review in January, she told the audience that Jersey could become the foremost start-up location in the world for AI, and she is keen to work with Digital Jersey to train local people in AI skills.
Rob (pictured left), the Digital Lead and a Partner with KPMG Channel Islands, has an in-depth knowledge of the offshore financial services industry, and previously spent three years as Technical Director at Jersey Finance.
Tom (pictured right) is Chief Executive of recruitment software specialist Pinpoint and founder of the Digital Jersey Coding Programme, and has been involved with Digital Jersey since its inception.
The three new board members will join existing NEDs Aaron Chatterley and Gailina Liew on 1 July.
