Cyber conference announced

Posted: 11/10/2018

Jersey-based cyber security business Defence Logic is holding a conference in November that will explore how businesses can protect themselves from cyber security threats.

Former Director of the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) John Noble will be on hand to give his insights into how businesses can prepare for and respond effectively to cyber attacks. In addition, a member of the National Crime Agency will outline the UK’s national cyber security plan.

Noble is a Senior Executive Adviser to Defence Logic’s Japanese sister company, Nihon Cyber Defence. While at the NCSC, which was launched in October 2016 to protect the UK’s critical services from cyber-attacks, he led responses to more than 800 cyber-attacks, including on the NHS by WannaCry and the NotPetya ransomware attributed by the UK government to the Russian military, as well as the compromise of the UK Parliament.

• The event  – Protecting the Island’s Critical Infrastructure – will be held at The Royal Yacht on 5 November. It is invitation only, but you can register your interest to attend by emailing Antony Flemmer at anthony@defencelogic.io
