Collas Crill advises on UK property purchase

Posted: 26/07/2018

Collas Crill has acted for private family office Goodman Private Wealth on the £11.5 million purchase of two units at Derby Commercial Park, the latest addition to the firm's UK real estate investment portfolio.

Derby Commercial Park is being developed by Goodman, which specialises in industrial property. The park, located in the East Midlands, offers good access to labour and strong transport links and is already home to clothing brand Ted Baker and global logistics firm CG Robinson.

Goodman acquired the 180-acre site in Alvaston Derby in 2005. A multimillion-pound infrastructure programme has involved on-site works, including a new bridge over the River Derwent, and off-site works involving two roundabouts on the A6.

The deal was led by Group Partner Michael Morris, assisted by Donald Millar, a Senior Associate in the UK Real Estate team, and Gareth Morgan, a Senior Associate in the Commercial team, who advised on Guernsey corporate matters.
