Posted: 28/11/2017

Financial services businesses with operations in the Channel Islands were among the winners at the annual Investment Week Awards held at the House of Commons recently.

Discretionary Fund Management awards went to Quilter Cheviot Investment Management, Brooks Macdonald, Brewin Dolphin and Rathbone Investment Management.

Brewin Dolphin was also awarded in two other categories – Wealth Management and Portfolio Management Services. And BlackRock was one of two winners in the Fund Management (Retail) category.

The Gold Standard Awards for UK financial services have been held for the past 15 years. The awards take into account a company's capability to conduct business. They assess standards of service, financial strength, fair value and trust, as well as governance and social responsibility.

Entrants must demonstrate they go above and beyond standard practices to fulfil customer needs, and are assessed on five key criteria including being a trustworthy adviser.
