Chamber to hold GDPR briefing for SMEs

The Jersey Chamber of Commerce is holding a GDPR briefing for SMEs on 28 March – two months ahead of the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 and the Data Protection (Authority) Jersey Law 2018 coming into effect on 25 May. 

Two speakers will provide guidance on how to ensure organisations are prepared and compliant ahead of the deadline:
• Paul Vane, Acting Information Commissioner at the Office of the Information Commissioner, will talk about the law and highlight areas relevant for SMEs.
• David Cartwright, Senior Consultant, Information Security at Grant Thornton, will offer a practical guide for businesses between now and 25 May. 

The event will be held on Wednesday 28 March at the Pomme D'Or, Golden Apple Suite at 8.30am to 11.15am.
