The Jersey Chamber of Commerce is to hold a Chamber Lunch on 14 March, entitled 'Voice of an Island - Setting Jersey apart from other International Finance Centres'.
The event, to be held at the Radisson Blu from 12.15pm, will feature Amy Bryant, Deputy Chief Executive of Jersey Finance, as guest speaker.
She will share some of the work being done by Jersey Finance and others to bring clarity to the role of international finance centres such as Jersey – showcasing the island's reputation and adopting a new tone of voice.
She will argue that despite a populist narrative that seeks to misrepresent IFCs, centres such as Jersey should not just be tolerated, they should be acknowledged for performing a positive function.
