The Jersey Chamber of Commerce has announced a Critical Briefing event in July – 'How artificial intelligence is transforming commerce'.
The event, to be held at 8.30am on Tuesday 24 July at The Pomme d'Or Hotel, will bring together a panel of local and international expert speakers to examine the complex topic of AI.
The keynote speaker will be Regius Professor of Computer Science at Southampton University, Dame Wendy Hall, who will examine the capabilities of AI, its likely effect on jobs and its strategic importance to industry. She will also look at the potential threats of AI to ethics, accountability and diversity.
Delegates will also hear from local Advocate Vicky Milner of Callington Chambers, who will discuss the impact of AI on employment and ethics, and whether cost savings through the use of AI justify the social impact.
In addition, Digital Jersey CEO Tony Moretta will deliver a speech on the implications for AI in Jersey.
