The May/June issue of Businesslife will be a deep-dive exploration of the real impact of ESG on the world of business and finance
Businesslife, the Channel Islands-based business and lifestyle magazine, is to publish a dedicated ESG edition that will dig deep beneath the rhetoric of ESG to explore exactly what impact it is having across business, and whether firms can really substantiate their ESG claims.
At a time when all firms – especially those in the finance sector – are building their reputations, products and services on being ESG-conscious, the sceptics say their commitment is little more than rhetoric.
Meanwhile, a raft of greenwhashing scandals has also drawn into question many firms’ activities.
This dedicated edition of the magazine will get under the skin of ESG, featuring articles including:
• The rise of ‘greenhushing’ – how firms are diverting attention away from their ESG shortcomings
• Why the measurements for ESG impact are wrong
• The future of Article 9 and whether it is realistic
• The Channel Islands' true ESG capabilities
• Whether ESG considerations are compatible with fiduciary duty
• The impact of the proposed Sustainable Disclosure Requirements
In exploring these topics, the edition – which will be published across the Channel Islands and other key financial jurisdictions in May – will call on experts from across the Channel Islands to share their views.
If you would like a specialist from your organisation to be considered as a contributor to this ESG edition, please email Editor-in-Chief Jon Watkins at jon.watkins@blglobal.co.uk.
The issue will also provide a range of advertising and other commercial opportunities for firms looking to promote their products and services to a wide audience of business and financial services partners and clients.
