BDO in Guernsey is holding a free-to-attend seminar in October that will examine the latest developments in UK VAT.
The event will feature London-based BDO Tax Partner Stephen Kehoe along with Guernsey tax specialists, who will look at the impact of HMRC’s Making Tax Digital initiative and other VAT changes, particularly on UK properties and their owners.
Mark Savage, Tax Director at BDO in Guernsey, will explain how businesses can prepare for the changes, which will be implemented from April 2019.
HMRC estimates that 89 per cent of businesses, including many Guernsey companies that own UK property, will have to change the way they submit VAT returns.
