Trust and fiduciary services provider Zedra has acquired UK professional pension trustee business Caledonian Trustees.
Founded in 2006, Caledonian provides professional trustee and secretarial services to corporate pension and funeral plans.
The acquisition, which follows Zedra's takeovers of Inside Pensions and PTL in 2021, adds to Zedra’s presence in the UK pension space.
The firm said Caledonian will operate alongside and report through PTL until both are fully integrated into Zedra this year.

"Add to this the pressure being applied by the Department for Work and Pensions and the pension regulator and it is no surprise that the number of pension schemes requiring additional support continues to grow.
"Over the past few years, we have planned our expansion to ensure we were well equipped to support schemes in meeting these challenges.”
