Viberts acquires Lacey Advocates

Michelle Cabot and Beverley LaceyJersey legal firm Viberts has announced its acquisition of Lacey Advocates. 

Advocates Beverley Lacey and Michelle Cabot have joined Viberts as Partner and Senior Associate respectively, in a move to strengthen Viberts’ commercial and regulatory services.

With more than 35 years' experience, Beverley has conducted regulatory and enforcement investigations, acting for the Jersey Financial Services Commission, members of Jersey’s finance industry and HM Attorney General. 

She worked for Mourant for 22 years, serving as Head of Commercial Litigation before establishing Lacey Advocates in 2013.

Michelle joined Lacey Advocates at the outset and has worked with Beverley on cases including the historic abuse redress scheme for the island’s government and acting for all government departments before the Jersey Care Inquiry.

More recently, Beverley and Michelle have acted in respect of major fraud proceedings before the Royal Court.
