Promotions at KPMG in Guernsey

Promotions at KPMG in Guernsey KPMG have announced a number of promotions in their Channel Islands practice in Guernsey.

Linda Johnson has been appointed as a Director in the Advisory Department. Linda has been with the firm for eight years, five years as an Audit Senior Manager, and will be working with the Department's current Directorship to shape its strategic direction and continuing expansion.

Three employees have been promoted to Senior Manager; Toby Merrien in the Tax Department, his promotion comes shortly after celebrating his 10 year anniversary with the firm having joined as an Assistant Tax Consultant in 2001, Gavin Niven who is currently on a secondment to the Advisory Department from KPMG Edinburgh and Jonathan Sy who joined the Audit Department as a Manager in December 2010 having relocated from the Cayman Islands.

Also promoted within the Audit Department were David Alexander, Nyaradzo Chitsike and Nickie Chlorou who became Managers; and Emilie Guillou and Jo Holmes have been promoted to Associate Managers. Sook Ting Frihmat joined the department as a manager in October having previously worked within the firm's Jersey office.

Exam successes have led to promotions for Kim Hanlon who has qualified as a certified accountant and Martyn Guilbert who has qualified as a chartered accountant.

In the Tax Department Sara Fares and Chris Goddard have been promoted to Assistant Manager, and in the People, Performance, Culture Department Elaine Painter becomes an Assistant Manager.
