Paul Matthams joins Seymour Law as Partner

Paul Matthams_SeymourLaw_aug22Advocate Paul Matthams, a non-contentious Jersey trusts lawyer, has joined Seymour Law as a Partner. 

Paul is regarded as an authority on trusts law and is a co-author of Drafting Trusts and Will Trusts in the Channel Islands with James Kessler QC. A lawyer and previously a professional trustee, he is also a Notary Public and pensions specialist.

Paul joins Seymour Law from Stonehage Fleming, where he has served as a Partner in its family office division for the past four years. Prior to this, he was a Partner at Carey Olsen for almost 20 years.  

In his new role, Paul will continue to advise individuals and institutions on trust, estate planning and pension law matters. 

In addition to his legal practice, Paul is a longstanding member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the Ecclesiastical Law Society. He is also the Proctor Substitute of the Ecclesiastical Court of Jersey.

Launched in 2020, Seymour Law provides legal services for individuals, businesses and institutional clients, with a focus on contentious and non-contentious trust work and specialist employment matters. The firm’s founding Partners are Advocates Mark Renouf and Jean-Marie Renouf.
