Jersey Finance has recruited wealth management specialist Rufaro Mucheka as a consultant in South Africa.
Rufaro has more than 20 years of experience across Southern and West Africa, most recently serving as Head of Partnerships and Strategic Projects with Nedbank Wealth Management in Johannesburg.
She was with Nedbank for more than 14 years, prior to which she spent seven years with Old Mutual.
Staying in Johannesburg for her new role, Rufaro’s primary focus will be the South African market while Faizal Bhana, Director – Middle East, Africa and India at Jersey Finance, focuses on developing the organisation’s strategies in East and West Africa. Both of them will support Jersey Finance’s wider activity across the continent.
Rufaro will work with Jersey Finance’s Global Head of Business Development, Allan Wood, who has overseen the growth of Jersey’s Africa market strategy over the past six years.
Rufaro is a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society, an advisory member of the Women in Tech (SA) movement, an International Campaign Adviser for the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, and a Certified Financial Planner professional.
